Below, you’ll find the information that was shared during our Kindergarten Orientation held on Thursday, May 28. We’ve also included the Summer in the City flyer, the PS188Q Summer Learning & Fun Calendar, and a Save the Date for our PS188Q Back-to-School Meet-Up, which will be held on Tuesday, September 1, in the big schoolyard.

Click 2026-2027 NYC Public School Calendar to access the calendar in multiple languages. This calendar will give you all the official school holidays for the year so families can plan. We will remind families in the weekly calendar of days off. The first day of school will be Thursday, September 10th.
Reminder: Class placements, arrival and dismissal information will be shared during the week before school begins. Thank you for your patience as we finalize class lists—we’re excited to welcome everyone in September!
myschoolapps.com – Completing this form helps secure funds for our school. All families MUST fill out a form. The school is held responsible for all unreturned forms. When filling out the form, for district option choose New York City Schools.
We have two after school programs that use our building, MYAP and Blueberry. Click After School Programs 2025-2026 to get contact information for the two programs. Please be reminded these programs are not a part of the school or the NYCDOE. They are private programs that rent space in our building.
