On Friday, January 17th 24th and 31st, families are invited to volunteer for our Secret Reader Fridays (formerly known as Read-A-Loud). Volunteers come in during 1st period for about 15 to 20 minutes and read a book to the children. We have two time slots available for families to sign up, 8:30 to 8:50 a.m. and 8:55 to 9:15 a.m.
This year we will be using Eventbrite for families to sign up. It’s very easy to use and system will send you a confirmation as well as a reminder the day before. To get started, click the link below for your child’s grade and to the right of the invite you will see an option to select a date. Select the date and time you are available to volunteer, press register, select your child’s class and then fill out the form. If the date you selected is unavailable (Sold Out), you can select a different date from the main invite page. We are asking families to please only pick one day and time.
If you would like to participate but are unsure of what book to read, contact your child’s teacher who will be happy to make suggestions. Please note that religious stories are not permitted.
