School Foods is conducting a fun city-wide promotional program to highlight that on every Thursday we are serving foods that come from local NY State Farms. The promotion runs from February 1st to April 22nd. Prizes will be awarded during June Dairy Month.

Go to http://www.MilkVids.com, view one of four 30 second videos which highlight some of our local farms. At the end of the video you will be prompted to “Find Your School.” Type in PS188. Our school will come up as PS188 Kingsbury (Queens). Choose this option and that is it! Once our school reaches 100 hits we will become eligible for a random prize drawing.

Three elementary schools will will a $5,000 “Build-A-Garden” Kit for growing your school’s own vegetables and fruits.

The goal of the promotion is to introduce our locally sourced farms and let parents know our school lunches really do come from a good place.
