Families have begun to receive the letter from NYCDOE with individual login information (creation code) families will use when applying for middle school online. Please do not confuse this letter with the mystudent.nyc account. The names of the two websites are similar but are two completely different websites and functions.
This year families will not be receiving a paper application to apply for middle school. Families will be directed to a new website called MySchools.nyc. This is not the same website where families are able to see their child’s ELA and Math State Test scores.
Please be reminded, all children in District 26 attend there zoned middle school unless families apply and receive placement in a D26 Middle School GT program. Students applying for a GT seat will be ranked based on the following criteria:
- Final Report card
- 4th grade NYS ELA and Math Test Scores
- Academic and Personal Behaviors
