Attention all 5th grade parents and guardians in District 26!

Each District 26 Middle School has scheduled an “Open House” to provide you with information about their Gifted and Talented program and our lottery choice programs, as part of Middle School Choice process. For information about the criteria for the Middle School Gifted and Talented programs and our lottery programs, refer to the Middle School Handbook distributed by your elementary school. Please, only families interested in having their children apply for a gifted program in the middle school should attend. If you are not going to apply for a gifted program, please do not attend. A lot of families attend these presentations and the school will only be discussing how the gifted program works in their school.

Please be reminded D26 is a zoned district. If a child does not get a placement in a GT program, they will attend their zoned school. Please attend the Middle School Application Workshop on Wednesday, October 18^th at 8:45 a.m. to get more information on how the process works in D26.
