Dear Incoming Pre-K Parent/Guardian,
Thank you to all the families that were able to attend the orientation on Thursday, June 13th. There will be another orientation during the evening Meet the Teacher Conference in the fall with your child’s teacher. Attached is a summary of what was discussed during the orientation, the PowerPoint that was shared, the supply list, the Contact List, Getting Ready for Pre-K letter, and lice prevention letter. I will also be updating the website, pcps188q.com, with the information by the end of June.
The 2024-2025 School Year Calendar for the NYCPS is also below. This calendar will give you all the school holiday dates. The first day of school will be Thursday, September 5th. Families will get placement letters with class assignment, arrival and dismissal information in the late summer.
Summer Playdate for incoming Pre-K, Kindergarten and New Families coming to the building, will on Friday, July 12th at 10:30. Playdate will be held in the big school yard at the main building. More information will go out during the summer.
myschoolapps.com – Completing this form helps secure funds for our school. All families MUST fill out a form. The school is held responsible for all unreturned forms.
We have two after school programs that use our building, MYAP and Blueberry. Click After School Programs 2025-2026 to get contact information for the two programs. Please be reminded these programs are not a part of the school or the NYCDOE. They are private programs that rent space in our building.
